AMD comes out to compete with Intel processors featuring their Trinity
Code-named Trinity, showed his new line of chips, with increased performanceover the previous model and lower power consumption, offers a range of laptops12 hours
With the growing market of smartphones and tablets, the world of desktop PCsand laptops has changed and today faces similar requests: have moreprocessing power with lower power consumption. Responding to this requirement AMD officially announced the second generation processor type APU codenamed Trinity, an increase in performance of its processing unit andan optimization of the battery automonía notebooks up to 12 hours standby.
Series A of the second generation of Accelerated Processing Units or APUs, ascalled the company, will increase in CPU performance by 29 percent from the previous generation, filed earlier last year. In turn, the design that combinestraditional processor with a graphics chip integrated into the same silicon with 1300 million transistors allows dynamic distribution of tasks, which the company says results in better performance.
AMD plans to the availability of Trinity in mid-June in the U.S. with the launch of the HP Sleekbook ultraportable with a starting price of $ 599. In turn, the company expects to progressively reach the market after the rest of the different versions of the processor for desktop models, All in One and other laptops.
AMD’s announcement seeks to position positively to its processor line with theimminent launch of the third generation of Intel chips that will be part of futureultrabooks, the segment that promotes thin laptops Intel. Unlike Intel Ivy Bridge, developed in 22 nanometers and a three-dimensional transistor technology, Trinity designed based on 32 nanometer.
This line of AMD processors will be available in both desktop computers and on PCs All in One (All in One, or AIO, according to its acronym in English) and also in portable models such as notebooks, netbooks and ultra-slim versions. In addition to an increase in computing power with less energy consumption, thefirm notes that Trinity will offer a better experience in graphics, with a yield of up to 56 percent from the previous chipset.

One feature that stands out from its line of AMD microprocessors is that theprocessing unit (APU) has an excellent graphics performance, suitable for thoseusers who use the computer in multimedia and gaming issues. At this point, the site Anandtech, among others, was tested at Trinity against Ivy Bridge, Intel’s proposal.
