Graffiti: Confetti Death

Typoe: Confetti Death

“Confetti Death” by TYPOE, which was on display at Spinello Gallery in Miami during Art Basel Miami Beach.

Graffiti is more than vandalism, it is a way of life and of art; another form of expression that opens the door to greater things. Miami-based Typoe remains a skillful graffiti artist and tagger, but now has channeled some of that talent into creating original art like his highlighted work, Confetti Death. Examining new artforms to express himself, Typoe uses a skull and pieces of spray paint tops to compose the piece.

It’s obvious that the skull wasn’t feeling well as Typoe uses the broken pieces to simulate vomit from the skull’s mouth. The colors of the lids simulate graffiti and complement each other as they all splatter onto a white wall. Typoe’s work on Confetti Death shows how much attention to detail he displays in this amazing piece. To see more of Typoe’s art work including graffiti visit his Flickr page –HERE.
