Unlike tattoos, body painting is temporary, which means that drawings will not stay forever on the skin and can be washed away. Therefore, body painting works are often unique and plentiful both in terms of ideas and presentation. Painters can combine the use of different colors as well as model’s posture to present their ideas or even use more than one model to create a work. Today I present a few works of some famous body painter recently.
Ray Massey especially interested in drawing on the hands. His works are very creative.
Love for nature
He has always been a passionful artist and his works are influenced by spiritual and nature-related themes. His works are performed not only on one model but with many models at once. Work by Johannes Stötter.
The following images are from Emma Hack’s work.
If you’ve ever seen MV Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye, it’s also one of the works of this painter.
Emma has received great acclaim for her refined body paint camouflage technique; Through a combination of painting on canvas, body painting and studio-based photography, her work evokes a rich array of visual narrative and magical realism.
